Our Story

Hi, I’m Janice Harris Treadway, daughter of Rufus and Mary Harris. I was born and raised in Reynolds, a small town in Middle Georgia, where my love for food and family first took root. Some of my earliest memories are of standing on a bucket beside my mother at the stove, stirring pots of peas, collard greens, or fried corn while she cooked in her apron. It was in that kitchen, following at my mother’s skirt tail, that the spirit of The Traveling Pot LLC was born
